WINE CLUB $11.25 / JJJ Cab Sauvignon '06 - $15.00
This somewhat unusual blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Sangiovese produces a bold dinner wine that delivers plenty of fruit to the palate, including plum, bright cherry and current, with more subtle notes of cedar on the finish. It provides ample tannins and oak flavors, but the Sangiovese softens it up nicely. Will pair well with herbed sauces on red meats. (sold in quantities of 2 bottles each, or by the case =12 bottles)

WINE CLUB $15.75 / Cab on Fire '07 - $21.00
Blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, bottled in February 2009. 10 months in French oak. 2005 Cab took regional silver medal in 2007. This wine has interesting origin since it was made the day the Witch Creek fire started, and we had to abandon it immediately following crush and adding yeast. Turned out pretty darn good! Loads of fruit, especially black cherry and dark berries upon first taste, then continues to develop on the pallet with a stout – but still smooth, lingering finish. Lots of French oak flavors of chocolate, vanilla and tea. This wine was made the day the Witch Creek Fire started and had to be abandoned. Fortunately, a friend, Matt Murphy who stayed behind in Ramona came by each day to watch over the fermentation and saved the wine! Cab on Fire! Great with big red meats. (sold in quantities of 2 bottles each, or by the case =12 bottles)
